Teaneck NJ, a hotel stay is supposed to be relaxing… unless your sheets have other plans.

A woman is suing the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe, claiming a wild tumble from a hotel bed left her bruised, battered, and bewildered — thanks to what she says were poorly placed or ill-fitting sheets that turned bedtime into a full-body wipeout.

Bed or Booby Trap? Guest Takes a Dive

According to the recently filed lawsuit, the woman — let’s call her “Rosenberg” (because that’s her name) — was just minding her own business, trying to get into bed, when things took a turn for the slapstick.

Instead of gently easing into a cozy night’s rest, she hit her head, neck, and face on the nightstand, then landed on the floor, catching her back, arms, and legs on the way down.

The Sheets Did It! (Allegedly)

Rosenberg’s legal team says the Marriott didn’t secure the sheets properly, or may have used the wrong size bedding, causing the mattress to separate and send her sliding like a cartoon character.

The lawsuit doesn’t just point fingers at the hotel, but also at the corporate management and staff, claiming they were negligent in maintaining a safe sleeping setup, particularly in a handicap accessible room.

A Serious Suit with a Side of Slapstick

While the tone of the fall might read like a sitcom blooper, the suit is serious: Rosenberg claims she suffered permanent and severe injuries, extreme pain, and mental anguish. She says the injuries have impacted her daily life, social abilities, and finances.

Her attorney, Christopher DiGirolamo, has not yet commented, and neither has anyone from the Marriott. Maybe they’re checking the sheets.

The lawsuit demands the costs of the injuries, court disbursements, and any additional relief the court deems fair — plus, hopefully, some more secure bedding.
