RIDGEWOOD, NJ – The spirit of giving is shining brightly in Bergen County! The Ridgewood community recently demonstrated its incredible generosity by donating more than 750 beautiful, homemade holiday cards to the annual Cards of Joy Campaign.

Organized by the Ridgewood Stigma-Free Committee, this impactful letter-writing initiative is designed with a singular, vital purpose: to bring cheer and connection to residents who may be experiencing loneliness or other challenges during the holiday season.

Making a Big Difference with a Simple Card

The sheer volume of cards—over 750—speaks volumes about the community’s commitment to compassion.

According to campaign organizers, contributing a thoughtful, heartfelt card is an easy way for residents of all ages to make a significant positive difference in someone’s life. The recipients, often seniors in local facilities, deeply appreciate the personalized connection.

The Power of the Stigma-Free Movement

The “Cards of Joy” campaign is a shining example of the positive work undertaken by the Ridgewood Stigma-Free Committee, which aims to create an environment of understanding and support within the community. By actively reaching out to vulnerable populations during the holidays, the committee reinforces its mission to combat social isolation.
