East Rutherford NJ, opening day free entertainment at New Jersey’s largest family-friendly event include Circus Lena, makings it New York City area debut; Jurassic Kingdom with its life-like dinosaur puppets; and perennial favorites such as Cycle Circus Live, Magician Lance Gifford, Hypnotist Steve Bayner and Rosaire’s Racing Pigs. The Michael Jackson Tribute Show, the first of three music acts, will perform Friday through Sunday June 23.
State Fair Meadowlands will be open on weekdays and weeknights from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., (Opening Night, 6 p.m.-12 a.m.) Fridays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m.-1 a.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m.- 12 a.m. Parking is free every day of the Fair. For people arriving or departing by ride-share follow signage for the drop off/pick-up location. Due to a sporting event at MetLife Stadium, the fair will be closed June 25.
