Step Back in Time with Vintage Baseball at Historic New Bridge Landing

River Edge NJ, if you love baseball and history, mark your calendar for Saturday, July 13th, and head to Historic New Bridge Landing for an unforgettable day. From 11 am to 2 pm, the Bergen County Historical Society (BCHS) will host a Vintage Baseball event at 1201 Main Street, River Edge, NJ 07661.

Experience 19th-Century Baseball

Step back in time as the Flemington Neshanocks face off against the Enterprise Club of New Bridge in a doubleheader played with authentic 19th-century rules and equipment. The players will don period-accurate uniforms, making this a truly immersive experience for fans of America’s pastime.

More Than Just Baseball

While you’re there, take a break from the sun and tour the historic Campbell-Christie House. Cool off, browse the gift shop for unique souvenirs, and indulge in classic ballpark treats. Hot dogs, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase, and an ice cream truck will be on-site to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Guided Tours and Activities

Between games, enjoy short walking tours of the historic grounds led by BCHS interpreters. Learn more about the rich history of the area and the significance of New Bridge Landing.

  • Date & Time: Saturday, July 13th, 11 am – 2 pm
  • Location: 1201 Main Street, River Edge, NJ 07661
  • Tickets: $12 for adults, $7 for students, free for BCHS members. Ticket reservations are encouraged as prices may increase soon.
  • Parking: Free parking is available on-site. Alternatively, you can take NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley line to the “New Bridge Landing” stop and walk one block north and east.
