  1. It’s about time someone capped unused sick pay. The current system for governmental employees is insane…..and financially unsustainable.

  2. Agreed. Getting up to six months of unused leave at retirement, which gets paid out at your highest final comp rate (base + 10% longevity), is just blatant taxpayer abuse, and probably leads to employees working when they are actually sick given how valuable these sick days end up being upon retirement. It’s a complete perversion of what they’re actually meant for, driven by pure greed.

  3. It is about time, but does anyone really think this bill will pass? I for one certainly hope it does and will be watching the politicians who do not support this bill.
