TEANECK, NJ — A Teaneck man previously arrested for burglarizing a local high school earlier this year is back in custody after being charged with several new burglaries, according to Chief Andrew McGurr of the Teaneck Police Department.

Ryon O. Reid, 39, with a last known address on Dohrman Road in Teaneck, was arrested Tuesday, June 25, after allegedly burglarizing multiple offices in a commercial building on Teaneck Road.

🔎 Office Building Break-Ins

On Monday morning, just before 10 a.m., Teaneck police responded to a report of multiple burglaries at an office building. Occupants told police that cash and electronic devices were stolen overnight. Surveillance footage revealed a man, later identified as Reid, entering and moving through the building during the night.

Following an in-depth review of the footage, officers recognized Reid as the suspect.

👮‍♂️ Suspect Apprehended

The following day, Officer E. Cho spotted Reid walking near Vandelinda Avenue and Grange Road, where he was arrested without incident. During processing, police discovered:

  • Cash

  • Multiple electronic devices

  • A handwritten list containing credit card information for six separate accounts

Further investigation revealed Reid may have entered the same office building earlier on June 14, though it’s unclear if he accessed interior offices at that time.

📋 Charges Filed

Reid is now facing several new charges, including:

  • Three counts of burglary

  • Three counts of theft

  • Two counts of criminal attempt burglary

  • One count of unlawful use of a credit card

He is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting further court proceedings.

🏫 Previous High School Incident

In March 2025, Reid was charged with burglary and theft after allegedly sneaking into Teaneck High School during a school board meeting and roaming the premises overnight. He was arrested shortly after that incident as well.
