Hasbrouck Heights NJ, a 16-year-old from Hasbrouck Heights has been arrested in connection with a violent stabbing that left an 18-year-old critically injured at a park in Lodi, police confirmed.
Teen Suspect Arrested Following Investigation
Lodi Police Chief Donald Scorzetti reported that officers took the teenage suspect into custody on Wednesday, April 2, after executing a search warrant at his home in Hasbrouck Heights.
The stabbing incident occurred on Saturday, March 29, at approximately 4:50 p.m. Police responded to reports of a fight involving a knife near the track entrance of a Lodi park. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male from Hasbrouck Heights suffering from a serious stab wound. The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Charges Filed Against the Suspect
Following an in-depth investigation led by Detective Lt. Christopher Irizarry, authorities determined that the 16-year-old had stabbed the victim, causing severe injuries.
