Glen Rock NJ, a six-month investigation has led to the arrest of Antonio Gestri, a 19-year-old from Queens, in connection with a pharmacy burglary in Glen Rock earlier this year. According to the Glen Rock Police, Gestri was charged this past Thursday with burglary and theft following the March 26 break-in at Rock Ridge Pharmacy.
Gestri is accused of stealing oxycodone and promethazine from the pharmacy, located in the Central Business District. These powerful prescription medications are often targeted in thefts due to their high demand and misuse potential.
In addition to the Glen Rock incident, Gestri faces charges for a similar crime that occurred on the same day in Fort Lee, authorities said.
This case highlights the growing problem of pharmacy thefts and the misuse of prescription medications. Glen Rock police worked diligently over several months to connect the dots and bring charges against the suspect.
