It is with great sadness, The Midland Park Police Department announces the passing of Retired Chief of Police August Faber.
Chief Faber was a lifelong and dedicated member of the Midland Park community. He was hired as a patrolman in 1954 and rose through the ranks to become Chief of Police. Chief Faber served as the fifth Chief in the Borough’s history.
Chief Faber’s professionalism, hard work and efforts during his thirty years of service shaped The Midland Park Police Department into the agency it is today.
Chief Faber is survived by his wife Edna, son Glen Faber and his daughter Terri Seltenrich, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday September 11 at Vander Plaat Funeral Home located at 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff NJ.
