  1. Another embarrassing meeting to watch. It’s like watching the keystone cops, no pun intended. Exasperation was running high.
Total lip service to students and special needs students by Mrs. Kim. More interest in the bidding process and fund transfers. Process first , not students first. Mr. Dani will no longer administer his cesspool FB pages? Right! His second in command will just do his typing.
Too bad the kids will have to continue to use old and disgusting bathrooms. Hey this is Ridgewood- everything looks good from the outside, please don’t look too closely at the crumbling infrastructure- perhaps the kids can just hold it until they get home. Because using the bathroom is not part of the educational program. Sports parents came out in force to support a new turf field at Stephan’s Field. No more mercury gym floors at RHS, another good call.
Good presentations by RHS teacher and Ms. Poelstra. Look at the product the process is a joke.

  2. Eyes on the Prize,

Only one board member supported spending half a million on bathroom projects. You realize that was a 4/1 vote?

  3. Eyes on the Prize, are you embarrassed that the new board is voting based on data and information?
Remember four decent citizens lost their board membership in last 2 years just because they chose to not vote as per their own decision and go along with the herd.

  4. Who lost their seats, other than Lancto?
By my count 1 resigned to move out of state and two chose not to seek office in the most recent election. I only see one lost seat there. Please explain your data for that?
And, yeah, the word data was thrown about quite often last night, it sound so Ivy League doesn’t it?

  5. Eye on the Prize, Loncto and Mohmoud lost election. They did not lose it because they are bad people. They lost it because they supported wrong decisions.
Morgan and Wilson tried very hard to gain support and form alliances before the election. Wilson admitted that she would lose if she ran. Again good people but could not run again because they chose to support wrong decisions.

  6. Check your math that’s two losses not four.

  7. Please do not refer to Ms. Kwak as Mrs. Kim. She is her own smart, well-educated and opinionated person. You, on the other hand, sound like a misogynist pig.

  8. Steve Kim is a very vocal and opinionated person on local closed FB groups. Surely his wife hears the same nonsense? Let’s hope Mrs. Kim has selective hearing!

  9. Please clear this up for me. Some commenters can make-up nicknames for political figures with whom they disagree (Three amigos, Douche Bag) but you have to be part of a certain group to do that? Just trying to get the rules straight.
And, yes her husband is Steve Kim. People should know that.

  10. A breath of fresh air that the council voted down the bathroom renovations. It was confirmed that everything is in working order. Why waste the taxpayers money, especially during this economic hardship? Kudos to the Board for acting fiscally responsible.

  11. Nice pun about the fresh air!

  12. Josh, too bad the Village Council isn’t heeding your advice to the BOE to stop wasting taxpayers’ money during this economic hardship. How is an 8% increase in total spending including Ridgewood Water and the Northwest Bergen County Central Dispatch “acting fiscally responsible”? The police have all new SUVs, Schedler and the Elks renovation for Ridgewood Water are going ahead, as is garagezilla. Where is the discipline?

  13. Too bad the Village Council isn’t heeding your advice to be fiscally responsible!

  14. At this rate the toilets at Schedler will be nicer than the toilets in our schools… over 5,500 students but Schedler is used by less than 300 residents!

  15. Hopefully Mayor Walsh clears up this liberal scam under the previous Council

  16. Mayor Walsh give me hope for the future
of our Village. Honest. No family ties. A clean record and an intelligent mind. Mayor Walsh will represent all of us. MAYOR WALSH!

    1. the Village Council has different functions than Board of Education

  17. No kidding James? The point is the Village Council is not being fiscally responsible AT ALL. They’re increasing spending overall by 8% when you include Ridgewood Water and the NWBCCD. And yet they’re lording over the BOE with a fine toothed comb even though, as you correctly point out, they are a different governing body. Everyone knows who Saurabh Dani and Mrs. Kim answer to.

    1. lets see the numbers

  18. no one would ever accuse the Ridgewood VC or BOE of being fiscally responsible
