The Ridgewood rodizio restaurant The Stable held its last dinner service last night, says owner Marcello Czernier. He is now remodeling it to become a small-plates restaurant called Finca (“estate” in Spanish). Czernier says it will generally have a different menu than his other Ridgewood restaurant, Cravings Tapas Bistro, though some dishes may be available at both spots. He hopes to open in about six weeks.

  1. Interesting change going on, perhaps I will check it out and test the menu out.

Perhaps, you could post some photos of the menu dishes ??

  2. Where is the leadership DOM ?

  3. Never liked the Stable anyway.

  4. Cravings is a great restaurant.

  5. 2 high end steak joints that can sell booze now in town. Not surprised.

  6. During a recent Village Council meeting, Councilwoman Gwenn Hauck seemed excited that there would no longer be a restaurant named The Stable. What was that all about?

  7. The Stable was mediocre, food wise. In addition, the service was spotty.

Go to the Ironbound if you want authentic Brazilian BBQ.

  8. #7 if you like Brazilian bbq there used to be a place in the riverside sq mall that was good.

  9. #8 I know the place but Newark is much cheaper.
