The Village of Ridgewood Has a New Police Chief

Ridgewood NJ, at the end of June, Chief Jacqueline Luthcke retired from our force after more than 25 years of service to Ridgewood.  Police Captain Forest “Cenzo” Lyons was sworn in as Chief and took over on July 1.  A member of our department for 21 years, with deep roots in Ridgewood .

At the Wednesday night Village Council meeting Deputy Mayor Pamela Perron and the Village Council made it official presiding over the swearing in of the following promotions:
Chief of Police: Forest R. Lyons
Captain: Glenn Ender Swears in a New Police 
Lieutenant: John Chuck
Lieutenant: Sal D’Amico
Sergeant: John A. Ward
Sergeant: Anthony Mormino
In addition, Patrolman Isaiah Walters and Patrolman Francisco Santiago, who both recently graduated from the Bergen County Police Academy, were publicly sworn in.

  4. Is the police department the only department in the village that swearing new employees, just because we see so many new faces we don’t even know who they are. And how they got the job it’s very interesting.

    1. It’s only interesting if you are related to the previous mayor ????

  5. They all “got the job” by taking a civil service exam that was open to all. It’s not that interesting.
