The trio rolled up in a red Honda Accord to Devon Fine Jewelry and smashed the glass displays inside to remove the contents, Kasak said. Police were alerted at 12:25 am and responded to the activated burglar alarm at the jewelry store on 303 Franklin Avenue.

Surveillance video showed one of the suspects use a crowbar to break the glass, and another use a gray trash can from the car to clear the broken glass from the doorway. The stolen items were placed inside of the trash can, which was returned to the car, and the suspects drove away down Franklin Avenue. As of Tuesday afternoon, the suspects are still at large, police said.

Store manager Debora Swinney said the theft itself was “minimal,” and that the accused were inside the store for all of two minutes before making off with the stolen goods. The Wyckoff police are asking residents if they have any additional information on the break-in and reminding residents “if you see something , say something” .

  1. how come no description of the suspects?
Oh never mind. we know when its not part of the press release

  2. Smash and Grab in Sleepy Hollow (Wyckoff)…really ?

  3. Sounds like a case of wealth redistribution. Don’t you know that it’s now wrong to own ostentatious things like jewelry?
