Oakland NJ, a devastating car crash on Interstate 287 in Mahwah has claimed the life of 19-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez-Pluchino, a resident of Oakland, New Jersey. The fatal incident occurred during Tuesday morning rush hour, around 7:15 a.m., according to the New Jersey State Police.
Pluchino was reportedly driving a Volkswagen near milepost 65.4 when his vehicle veered off the highway to the right and crashed into multiple trees, authorities said. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but tragically succumbed to them, confirmed Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

Rodriguez-Pluchino’s grieving mother shared a heart-wrenching message on Facebook shortly after the crash:
“I have no words… I am forever broken.. I want my baby boy back.”

“Johnny was a fun, loving boy who had his entire life ahead of him… If you can’t donate, please share and send prayers to Johnny and our family as we navigate this unimaginable loss.”
