Glen Rock NJ, in the early hours of Monday morning, Glen Rock police apprehended two individuals suspected of prowling through residential properties. Following a foot chase through the town, officers recovered stolen items, including credit cards and smartphones, and arrested the two suspects on multiple charges.
The Arrests
Randy H. Rosario, 19, of Edison, faces charges of:
- Possession of a replica handgun during the commission of a crime,
- Resisting arrest by fleeing, and
- Receiving stolen property.
Gabriel A. Guedez, 18, of New Milford, is charged with:
- Resisting arrest by fleeing and
- Receiving stolen property.
Both men were also charged with defiant trespassing.
The Incident
According to Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann, Officer Nicholas Onove was patrolling around 2:30 a.m. when he spotted two men wearing dark clothing and hoodies, acting suspiciously near residential properties on Cornwall Road and Gibson Place.
When the officer attempted to approach them, the suspects jumped a fence into the backyard of a property and fled on foot. The pursuit quickly escalated, involving Sgt. Greg Carter, Officer James Donnelly, and officers from Fair Lawn and Ridgewood police departments.
Stolen Property Recovered
After their capture, the suspects were found with several stolen items, including:
- An iPhone reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Kershner Place in Fair Lawn,
- Credit cards,
- Other smartphones, and
- Additional personal property yet to be claimed by owners.
Additionally, Rosario was found carrying a replica handgun.
Charges and Next Steps
Rosario was transported to Bergen County Jail, while Guedez was processed and released under bail reform laws. Both are awaiting court appearances at Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack.

Let’s get rid of the current bail reform laws. Another “actor” gets a slap on the wrist and is then released to do the same thing again. Dumb laws….. Nothing more to say,
Update. They were released and then committed the same crime 7 more times today.

Very long prison sentences, please. The replica gun charge should be 5 years minimum.
As the other person commented, a light slap on the wrist does nothing whatsoever for deterrence.

This is the Inclusion part of DEI. runnin around stealin peoples stuff. This is what you get along NJ Transit. Covid times changed alot of things and leaders have not adapted well enough leaving the citizens unsafe. Saw the pic of Randy Rosario. looking like Afropuff. They dont look illegal tho which is idk good i guess, but they comin in. I dnt know if these kids learned anything in school. Saw the mugshot of Rosario but i think there was an accomplice.
