Ridgewood NJ, a tragic work related accident claimed the life of a tree service employee who was working at a home near the intersection of Carlton Terrace and Waiku Road, Ridgewood on Thursday morning, 06/04. The victim reportedly fell from a tree, and then had a limb land on top of him while he was on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital. Multiple news media reports identified the victim as a 35-year old male from Bergenfield. Personnel from Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office also responded to the incident. The victim’s co-workers stood by in shock and disbelief as they watched authorities remove the deceased employee’s body from the scene. The accident’s cause has not yet been made public. No information was made available as to whether OSHA was notified of the sorrowful incident.

I’ve been a tree climber for four decades I’ve worked with that tree service for decades Renting Their services they are very safety oriented it’s one of the most dangerous jobs and I find that most tree climbers that killed a quite experienced you never know what’s inside a tree when you tie into it so when assholes like you make stupid comments maybe you should think a little more The last thing anybody wants to do is have someone hurt I’ve told customers a good day of tree work nobody goes to the hospital and nobody goes to the morgue there’s people out there don’t want everything done for the cheap with no idea what is involved in removing trees on average one tree worker dies every three days in this business and that’s just in the United States if you believe in your comments so much maybe shouldn’t be anonymous and a lot of safety precautions that OSHA has proposed was made by people that weren’t in the business and they’ve designed things that actually make it more dangerous to do your job so keep your opinion to yourself the family has suffered enough without comments from people like you if you want to make comments you should wait and put your face and name out there and get involved instead of hiding behind your little computer with an asshole opinion
