  1. Let’s focus on sleeping late, possibly reducing instructional minutes, as a solution.
    Need new superintendent of Curriculum.

  2. $120 million education budget for a system with a high school ranked 28th in the state is not good value for taxpayers.

  3. 28th…ouch. Replacing books with computers didn’t workout so hot.

  4. Do the local realtors still push the myth of Ridgewood having the best schools?

    1. Myth? You are reading a post stating RHS is better than 94% of NJ schools and 98% of US schools.

“My grandkid got a 98% on his math test. It’s a myth he’s good at math.”

      1. 28 is NOT great, but keep rationalizing it…. you’ll feel better.

“I don’t know anyone who could get through the day without two or three juicy rationalizations.”

        1. 28 out of 445 is absolutely great.
644 out of 17,843 is absolutely great.
87 out of 1,071 is absolutely great.

          1. So sad that your standards are so low.
In Ridgewood, we used to have the highest of standards.

  5. NFN, but depending on the source, the ranking can reflect the undue puffing up in importance of woke SJW factors.

  6. 28th…ouch. Replacing Education with Woke Liberal Indoctrination didn’t work out so hot.

  7. One of the biggest negatives for RHS is the number of students that take AP exams. This brings the “college readiness” score down, which bring the school down the rankings.
If we want to move up, more students need to take AP classes, but when so many upper level colleges don’t accept AP scores anymore, there is less incentive for certain students to take AP.
The other problem is that it is difficult to take AP classes before Junior year, decreasing AP numbers too. Both of these affect the ranking.

    1. Stop stating facts that run counter to the whiny narrative

  8. Remember back when Ridgewood schools were ranked nationally? They now look dismal just on the State level.

    1. Could you perhaps define the word “dismal” for me. RHS is in the top 5% in the state, along with most of the magnet schools.

  9. This is misleading. RHS is very high if you don’t include charter schools
