Ridgewood NJ, a devastating house fire on Norgate Drive left one victim hospitalized after emergency crews pulled them from the burning home on Tuesday afternoon, April 1.
Firefighters Rescue Resident from Blaze
Emergency responders arrived at the 800 block of Norgate Drive following an automatic fire alarm alert and a 911 call reporting the blaze. Firefighters rushed into the home and successfully rescued a female resident, who was transported by Ridgewood FD/EMS ambulance to The Valley Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Fire Departments from Multiple Towns Respond
Fire departments from several surrounding municipalities assisted the Ridgewood Fire Department in fire suppression and overhaul efforts. Ridgewood Fire Chief John Judge declared the fire under control within 60 minutes of the initial alarm.
