NOTICE: Village Council Meeting – September 30, 2015
NOTICE – VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2015 – The doors of the Sydney V. Stoldt, Jr. Courtroom of the Ridgewood Village Hall will open at 7:00 p.m. on September 30, 2015 for the Village Council’s Work Session and Special Public Meeting. If the Courtroom is filled, overflow seating will be provided on the first floor of the Ridgewood Village Hall with audiovisual equipment available to see and hear the meeting. All members of the public wishing to speak will be given an opportunity to do so.
Well Im watching all these people who are admitting they voted for these 3 Amigos and now the complaining that the are not listing to them. Boo Hoo.
Mark my words… The quote – “The public will always have the final word” – written on the Village Council public comment podium and referenced by a number of speakers tonight, will surely be removed after tonight’s meeting…
This meeting is all well and good, but we all know that at the end of the day the vote will be 3-2 FOR the amendments.
So, I hope the lawsuit is all prepped and ready to be served to the village tomorrow morning…
Partial victory tonight… tabled the vote!
However the real solution here is to roll back the “Valley Hospital inspired” master plan changes which allowed these ordinances even be proposed in the first place.
so proud of everyone who showed up and spoke! yes!!!
HAuck was horrible tonight
Watta show! Incredible outcome! Go Mike and Susan! The Three Arrogant Amigos were finally handed their heads by a furious populace.
As one of the 21,000 (hopefully) watching on TV last night, I agree. What a show! My biggest take away was the notion that politics as usual might not work in Ridgewood. The Villagers are too smart to let their elected REPRESENTATIVES pull the wool over our eyes and make decisions based on obviously biased statistics and doubtful rationalizations.
Want higher office Mr. Mayor – here is your test. As one of the speakers wondered – what happened to that guy? Do you empower and reward Developers who threaten to “Build something worse” or do you stand up for what the overwhelming majority in the community want? The Council’s role here is to steward the Village for future generations, not to enable the most profit for a few.
You get the government you vote for.
