It is not legal to use public funds to urge people to vote one way or the other, or to send out materials that do not present the facts evenhandedly.

Village Manager says Matt Jessup, bond attorney, gave the green light to repost.
Matt Jessup is a bond attorney who has a serious conflict of interest in weighing in here…this is a bond referendum, i.e. Matt Jessup stands to make a boatload of money depending on the outcome of this election.
And where is Matt Rogers? What does he think?
Are we approaching the need for a criminal investigation?

They can’t run an empty parking lot, so we should give them $11.5m of our money? In the video at the 4:42 mark the mayor points out what a dump the Hudson St lot is and how anything would be better. You know what would be better, how about you doing your job? Or the Village Manager? Or the town engineer? All had time to be in a video while the lot fell into a slum-like state of disrepair. How dare you use your own incompetence to solicit $11,500,000 of tax payer dollars to build a garage to cover up your mismanagement?
The mayor and his cronies plan to spend $600,000 in a no-bid agreement in the last 9 days of his failed term on the garage. Now, we have a no-bid situation on the garage money? What else don’t we know about? Vote NO on the garage, June 21st.

Shouldn’t a referral to the attorney general prompt an inquiry? Do we need to sue?
Does anybody in this town really want to park on the upper levels of a garage???
I’d drive four more blocks and stay on the ground. A mistake from day one.
Two or three levels at most are all that’s needed.
Totally agree with 5:35. But for another view, ride up Franklin heading for the train station and take a look at the Town Garage site. The sign is still there for all to see. It is telling us that this is the spot for a Town Garage. Walking distance to the train and to the central business district, will not constrict businesses and traffic flow and we can remediate the site which is leaking toxins into the surrounding area. A win win and at a lesser cost. All the Hudson Street lot needs is to be repaved, relined and a few decorative touches like trees!
I like the idea of the parking deck.
The election needs to be stopped. This is grossly illegal that government money was used to finance a campaign telling residents how to vote. That website is paid for by all of us. Those employees who were busy being videotaped should have been working instead of making a propaganda tape. Mayor Aronsohn may be walked out of Village Hall in handcuffs before this is over. Well, wouldn’t that make a fun video for Dana’s go-pro!!!
This vote is completely tainted. The Board of Elections needs to come to Ridgewood and shut down the process. No vote on June 21. The vote should not take place. How do we make this happen?
VOTE NO.
If you vote NO, then your either get a garage on Hudson street that is right sized OR get no parking garage.- the money is not committed. There are many options available.

If you vote yes, then you get the oversized PLAN D garage which no one wants.
The only logical vote is to VOTE NO.

A NO vote is a vote for higher taxes and a lower selling price for your house. Be careful what you wish for….you just might get it. !!
