Village of Ridgewood Makes Significant Investment in Restoring the Tree Canopy

Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark  late last week, residential tree planting began in the Village of Ridgewood . This significant investment in restoring the tree canopy throughout the town was advocated for by the Shade Tree Commission and supported by the Village Council. A total of 220 new trees will be added in our neighborhoods and 12 downtown.

  1. Staking trees is a terrible practice. It encourages weak trunk development. Trees are meant to sway for development.
