Ridgewood NJ, in light of this week’s sanitation truck fire, the Village of Ridgewood is reminding residents that rechargeable batteries, single-use lithium batteries and computer parts SHOULD NOT BE PLACED IN TRASH OR BULK REFUSE. Please refer to the above graphic for guidance on the proper disposal of various types of batteries. Many items, including electronics, automobile batteries and printer cartridges, can be brought to the Recycling Center. Please refer to the 2025 Ridgewood Green Guide. Hazardous household waste can be dropped off at a Bergen County Utilities Authority collection event.

  1. Did an improperly disposed of battery start last week’s fire?

  2. I wasn’t sure if that was a garbage pile or the Democrat party.

  3. They need to tell the libs they can’t throw away their Teslas in the regular garbage either. I know they crumple up rather easily but still.

  4. Welcome to the world of electricity
