LOL, trees protect against climate change. Sure.
Now as per RW trees, there is an anomaly here. Because on one hand we have seen healthy shade trees in public curbs cut en masse in the last few years in addition to the shady “pruning” service that PSEG and town does to “maintain” them. It can called anything but professional. Also on top of countless trees that residents chop to avoid dealing with leaves or to make way for sun for their solar panels or build their Pixar dream white fence.
Regardless, any tree planted is a blessing. But the approach to preserve nature in this town can be much improved. For the officials this is mostly about money exchanging hands.
It’s pay to play. Our great leaders just look out for they own special interest.
