Ridgewood NJ, milling of West Saddle River Road revealed that manhole repairs must be made before the street can be resurfaced. These repairs are required to maintain the integrity of the roadway. Barring any other unforeseen circumstances, paving should take place on Thursday or Friday of this week.

That road has been a disgrace for over 15 years, we donāt even remember the last time that was resurfaced. And they need to do something regarding the traffic coming off route 17 way too fast. There should be a speed hump right before the slow traffic down. but I donāt think engineering department can figure this one out, especially you know whošØš»āāļø.
And over the last 5 years that residents have been pleading for this project (easily 2 decades overdue) to be completed, no one in the crack engineering department thought it appropriate to inspect the manhole covers?
What exactly were these fine folks analyzing when they finally got around to inspecting and approving WSRR for paving?
Next you’re going to tell us they forgot to test the soil at Habernickel or Schedler for toxins and…
Whoops, never mind.
Amazing thatās because they try to save a little money with not replacing the manholes. You repaved the road you replaced the manholes and catch basins that are falling apart. You see what Iām saying someone told us itās going to be over $1 million to remove all that toxic soil. Does anybody know?
š«£ā ļøitās big news and money. How much, not sure.
