Ridgewood NJ, There’s no need to travel to New York City to enjoy great classical music. West Side’s own Oratorio Choir and Orchestra—directed by Deborah Holden-Holloway—will present Beethoven’s Mass in C on Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 pm. Beethoven was 37 when he composed the work at the request of Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy II in 1807. It is structured in five movements (the five parts of the ordinary mass): Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus and Agnus Dei. Come hear this “long-underrated masterpiece”…and bring your friends! Free admission and parking.
