>On April 11th, the Village Council authorized $115K for the purchase and installation of perimeter fencing at Graydon Park/Pool.
However, in spite of assurances from Council members that Graydon would not be completely fenced, a legal bid notice for 2000 linear feet of full perimeter fencing, including several gates, was advertised in the May 25th Ridgewood News. Submitted bids will be opened on June 15th.
All fence sections would be 4 feet in height. 1250 linear feet of fencing is proposed to be constructed of black, decorative steel. The decorative fencing would be installed along Linwood Avenue and North Maple Avenue. The remaining 750 linear feet of fencing, specified to bidders as “non-climbable, chain link mesh,” would be installed along the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook, near the roller hockey rink, and the north beach.
The Fly wonders; if full perimeter fencing and gates are installed, will the Graydon Park/Pool complex be “locked down” during off season
>it is about time.that old wood fence looks like a pice of dog do.this is ridgewood not some town out west.it is going to look so nice and clean, this is a very good plan.iam so happy i dont need to look at that old wood junk any more.
>WHAT YOU DON’T HEAR FROM PJ BLOGGER IS ALSO NEWS!
It has been over a week since I brought up the question of Memorial Day and how this supposed “NEWS” (what a stretch) outlet failed to recognize the sacrifice made by so many young men and women so that pjblogger and others can enjoy the freedoms they have today, one of them being this blog.
The response from pjblogger was and remains to be stone cold silence. Could it be that pjblogger really doesn’t care about things such as Memorial Day? That is possible. Or maybe he does care, but he doesn’t know how to deal with criticism, and he felt if he just ignored the point I made and moved on with his agenda maybe it would just go away. Also a possibility. For someone who is the critic of others it is obvious you can dish it out but you can’t take it. In any case pjblogger the lack of a reply from you on this matter says volumes.
I can’t help but wonder if you had a Happy Memorial Day as your blog suggested. I however, would never suggest to anyone that they have a Happy Memorial Day because I believe it disrespects the intent of the day.

For someone who claims they served in some branch of the service to dismiss the meaning of Memorial Day only exposes you as a fraud. I doubt you ever wore any uniform.

>a he is allways working.but he is on top of what is going on in town.
>This is about Graydon, isn’t it? The use of the word “offseason” caught my eye. If Graydon was only used for swimming, that would, I guess, be a correct description of this wonderful Village asset. But I find Graydon intriguing all year round. Just meandering around the place during the fall, winter and spring is exhilarating. Concrete wouldn’t be so communal. Ice skating; stone skipping; chasing your kids and your dog; a nice autumnal barbeque on the grill. You name it. it’s priceless. It’s like our own Central Park right here at home. City people know all about concrete pools and fences. I think they’ve seen enough of them.
>Wow you have issues. If you get off walking around stepping in dog crap and smelling goose crap you should seek professional help.

Lets review this extremely intelligent post.
First this poster wants to run me out of town. Then he observes that he is in the minority (wrong people usually are) so he decides he should move out…absolutely brilliant.
If I hadn’t already adopt name Village Idiot this person would be my first choice!
I hear house prices and taxes are really low in Iran. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out……
