Ridgewood NJ, With Memorial Day approaching why not make sure your Stars and Stripes are in good shape, If you have an old American flag to retire there is a mailbox in front of the Ridgewood Police Desk where old tattered torn and worn out flags can be deposited. The flags are collected by the American Legion for a proper retirement.

This is wonderful, thanks for this posting. I also wish someone would post about the rules and regulations for proper display of a flag. Seems that some people leave them up 24/7 with no lighting. Aren’t there guidelines that we are supposed to follow with this?
