Wyckoff NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DOUGLAS HOEHN (DOB: 9/05/1947; single; retired) of Wyckoff, NJ on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child, and impersonation. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of DOUGLAS HOEHN during the course of a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that HOEHN used the Internet to view, download, possess, and distribute files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit pubescent children. In addition, detectives uncovered multiple fraudulent ID cards and also discovered that HOEHN assumed the identity of a child on the Internet while having online conversations with others.
As a result of the investigation, DOUGLAS HOEHN was arrested on Wednesday, May 4, 2021 in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography, N.J.S.A 2C:24-4b(5)(a)i; third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii), third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and third degree impersonation, N.J.S.A. 2C:21-17a(1). HOEHN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
This investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, is continuing. Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Wyckoff Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Saddle Brook Police Department, Lyndhurst Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, which all participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
