Wyckoff NJ, Columbia Bank is proud to announce, Dennis Gibney, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been selected as a “2023 NJBIZ Leaders in Finance Awards” honoree. Gibney was cited for his extensive experience in strategic planning, financial institution valuations and mergers and acquisitions. The distinguished accolade celebrates New Jersey’s top financial executives who contribute to the success of their companies and communities. A ceremony recognizing the awardees, will take place on April 25, 2023, from 8:00-10:00 AM, at the Doubletree by Hilton Somerset Hotel and Conference Center, located at 200 Atrium Drive, Somerset, New Jersey.
Following an open nomination period, honorees were chosen by a panel of independent judges with experience in the financial field. The selections were based on the nominees’ involvement in their industries and communities, along with their achievements, energy and innovative ideas. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Gibney currently holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Gibney is a key leader in Columbia Bank’s growth strategy, which includes successfully increasing the company’s asset base from $5 billion to more than $10 billion, and navigating four seamless acquisitions within a five year period. Gibney supports the organization’s developing workforce and serves as the Executive Sponsor of its Young Professionals Employee Resource Group. Prior to joining Columbia Bank, Gibney worked in investment banking for more than 15 years. In the community, he serves as a Board Member of the Phoenix Center, an accredited private school that provides educational, behavioral, and therapeutic services for differently abled students, and is a prior Board Member of the Boy Scouts.
