Ridgewood NJ, we have to apologize, we totally misplaced Giving Tuesday . The Ridgewood blog received and eblast from the Ridgewood High School Alumni Association and had full intention to publish it in a timely manner however we failed , so lets try Giving Tuesday +1 .
Dear RHS Community,
Giving Tuesday presents an opportunity to give back to organizations that support the communities and causes you feel connected to. As you reflect on the institutions that have made an impact on your life, we hope you will consider a gift to the Ridgewood High School Alumni Association.
The RHSAA works to enhance opportunities for current students, and to build social and professional connections between alumni. Gifts to the RHSAA directly support popular programs that are open to all alumni – including the RHS Alumni Career Speaker Series, the RHS Alumni Externship (RAX) program, and the annual RHS Homecoming/Reunion weekend in October.
This year, in its seventh year of operation, the RHSAA is extending its impact through the Duffield STEAM Initiative. This extraordinary gift from technology entrepreneur Dave Duffield (RHS ‘58) through the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation is providing for three state-of-the-art renovations and upgrades to spaces that support rapidly-growing curricular programs: the Innovation & Makerspace Lab, the TV Studio & Media Lab, and the Culinary Arts Lab. Alumni donations in any amount support development activities that allow us to impact and reshape the student experience for generations to come.
There are many ways for alumni to give back: you can purchase a commemorative brick to be installed on campus, buy apparel from the RHSAA online store, or make a monetary donation.
Wishing you the very best throughout the holiday season,
The RHS Alumni Association Board of Trustees
