Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce 2021 Downtown for the Holidays event was different this year ,due to an abundance of caution over COVID19 the tradition tree lighting countdown was dropped. While many were disappointed over the loss of the tree lighting count down . sources in side the Chamber tell the Ridgewood blog that 2021 was the best attended in years .
Large crowds flooded East Ridgewood Avenue down to Hillmann Lighting . This year’s theme of “Trucks on Holiday” was a huge hit with the kids. It was a great night for local family’s and many stores recorded heavy pedestrian traffic . All and all the even was viewed as a huge success for the Village and particularly the central business district .
Great to know. My family loved the new format! Cancel big stage shows and speeches. Bring in x-Mas carols, shop window dancers and theme rides!
Another tradition ruined.
Ridgewood can’t purge itself fast enough from all that made it special.
