RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village of Ridgewood gathered at Village Hall on September 11 at 8:45 AM for a solemn moment of silence, marking 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Community members, local leaders, and first responders stood together in the courtyard to reflect, honor, and ensure that Ridgewood will always remember.
Honoring the 12 Local Residents and Nearly 3,000 Lives Lost
As the Freedom Flag flew over the courtyard, the ceremony paid tribute to the nearly 3,000 individuals who lost their lives on that fateful day—including twelve beloved Ridgewood residents whose memories remain forever woven into the fabric of the community.
The gathering also recognized the brave first responders whose selfless courage defined the tragedy, as well as the families who continue to carry the pain of their loss 25 years later.
