
Ridgewood Crash: SUV Carrying House Cleaners Slams Head-On Into Wyndemere Ave Home

Ridgewood NJ, A quiet Ridgewood neighborhood became the scene of a dramatic multi-agency rescue on Monday afternoon after a compact SUV veered off the road and crashed head-on into a single-family home.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, May 18, 2026, in the 600 block of Wyndemere Avenue in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
SUV Slams Into House: What Happened on Wyndemere Ave
A white Toyota RAV4, which was transporting a trio of local house cleaners, left the roadway and struck the front facade of a residential property. The force of the head-on collision caused extensive damage to the front of the SUV.

First responders worked efficiently to stabilize the vehicle, evaluate the building’s structural integrity, and provide immediate medical triage to the passengers inside the vehicle.
Three Injured, Homeowner Miraculously Unharmed
All three occupants riding inside the Toyota RAV4 sustained injuries from the impact. Fortunately, emergency officials confirmed at the scene that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. All three individuals were carefully loaded into Ridgewood FD/EMS ambulances and transported to nearby The Valley Hospital for treatment.
A Close Call: The home was occupied at the time of the crash. Fortunately, the sole resident inside the house during the collision was entirely uninjured.
Vehicle Towed and Accident Under Investigation
Following the medical evacuations, a flatbed tow truck arrived to remove the heavily damaged white Toyota from the residential lawn.
Local building officials were also called to the scene to assess the structural safety of the Wyndemere Avenue home. The exact cause of what forced the driver off the roadway remains under investigation by the Ridgewood Police Department.
