Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, In response to multiple 911 phone calls late Sunday evening, 06/04, reporting an occupied vehicle seemingly stopped for no reason in the northbound travel lanes of North Maple Avenue near Brookside Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus, police officers from Ho-Ho-Kus and Ridgewood responded to the scene and found the vehicle’s driver asleep at the wheel.

After awakening the driver and finding several empty beer bottles in plain view inside of his vehicle, officers believed him to be impaired and likely under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and transported to Ho-Ho-Kus Police headquarters for further evaluation and testing. His vehicle was impounded and removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.
