Ridgewood NJ, how quickly they forget, in his recent letter to the editor , “Will Ridgewood ever build a garage?” ( https://www.northjersey.com/story/opinion/readers/2017/09/28/letter-ridgewood-ever-build-garage/712949001/ ), Councilmen Jeff Voigt continues his efforts to undermine the current council . In the piece Voigt claims ,”One of the initiatives important to Ridgewood council members elected last year is to build a garage on Hudson Street” . Interesting because Voigt ran for office on a “no garage” platform.
The entire letter is once again an effort by Voigt and his small band of “developer owned ,pave over Ridgewood at all cost types ” , to blame the current mayor for all the stupid things done by the previous administration, “the 3 Amigos” . “The mess they created will take years to clean up and a lot of hard work if the Village is not to join the growing list of ” Most White Trash Cities In New Jersey ” ( https://theridgewoodblog.net/website-rolls-out-list-of-10-most-white-trash-cities-in-new-jersey/ ).
The letter like Councilmen Voigt’s behavior on the Dais is a bit convoluted , in one instance he argues to proceed with the garage and on the other he says there is no information on the project and the voters have a right to know . Interesting didn’t that same councilmen try to stop residents from accessing his emails thru OPRA requests ?
Perhaps the councilmen would read the Ridgewood blog more thoroughly in order to get better informed as to the comings and going in the Village of Ridgewood.

He was honest until he was dishonest. He was transparent until he was opaque. He was nice until he was nasty. He was a good candidate until he was a toxic councilman.
A check up from the neck up is definitely in order for Mr. Voigt.
How it is that Mr. Voigt can be proclaiming the almighty transparency in governement at the same time that he is harassing people who OPRA his correspondence?

Poor Voight! He continues to dig his own grave. Be careful JV, your new buddy (Paul Aronsohn) is leading you into the woods but not to visit grandma.
Liar liar pants on fire
I propose a new term for any Council candidate who runs on issue positions, gets elected because of them, then does a 180.
We got VOIGHTED.
Voight has repeatedly exposed himself as a liar, manipulator, and one who can’t be trusted. Voight ran on a platform of no garage. He actively collected signatures outside Mount Carmel including mine. He spoke to me at length about why no garage was necessary. Didn’t voighte sign the petition? He must have if he ask other people to sign it including me and my husband. Does anyone have a copy of the petition? Voigt disgust s me.
What a JERK. Let’s face it not only did he collect signatures as shown in the photo but he signed it. Voighy is a farce and a loser.rumor has it hes cozying up to Paul Aaronson. No surprise there.
A lot of people were suspicious of Jeff but felt that he was better than the WEitz Willet Brooks selections. Some saw that Jeff has a very short fuse. He clearly lied his way into office. And now we are paying the price, are we ever.
Read the article to its conclusion and then go and congratulate the mayor for being a bulwark against Voight. Support Mayor Knudsen and don’t let Voight and his conies bully her into building the garage.
Voigt wrote an even longer letter that The Record edited down. In his longer edition he wrote:
“Looked at another way: Since 2008, the central business district (CBD) has lost approximately $120 million in assessed value due to declining sales – with a main reason for this being a lack of parking. This $120 million loss in assessed value translates into a loss of approximately $3 million in tax revenue from the CBD. This is the amount that househoulds are paying that could have been paid by the CBD. In other words, improving the parking issue, helps CBD businesses increase their sales and their assessed value and; in turn lowers resident’s property taxes.”
How much is wrong with this idiot thinking? A garage will lower our property taxes??? The main reason that the businesses are not doing well is parking (and not internet sales)?????

This man is turning out to be a much bigger embarrassment to our community than Paul Aronsohn was, a dubious achievement to say the least.
The mayor deserves our undying support for standing up to this incredible bully. Right out of the starting gate in July of 2016 he was a disaster, proving many voters wrong. We did not know then how very, very wrong we were. It seems to get worse daily.
Jeff Voight is a puppeteered dummy. The ventriloquist is Paul Aronsohn.
Jeff Voight, I know you read the blog. Your gargantuan ego told me so. Why the 180? Why did you turn against all those that voted for you and helped with your campaign? Why the personal vendetta against Mayor Knudsen? Your thinking and behavior are so bizarre. Your facts are non-existent. You are living in make pretend world. Time to wake up.
Thank God for our Mayor and Council majority. If it wasn’t for her/them we’d be plowed down, demo’d and built over into a city long ago.
Voight drank the Kool Aid (Aronsohn flavored).
He lied about everything. He was at a meeting with ” friends of habernickel “and apparently lied about helping. I receive the e mails from the group ” friends to Habernickel” to inform the neighbors about how we are trying to get help from the council because of the business in the park, and I was told he was on our side. Vote for Voight. He will help.
Then he turned and solely support this. Lights, cameras and ALL the action a successful PRIVATE business brings into a quiet neighborhood. Heard he even had a gathering there!
Is it a hall open for gatherings or is it a business for children??

Habernickel, Schedler, Garage, you name it, Voigt lied. That is one thing he is very good at doing.
