The Village of Ridgewood Still Needs Lifeguards for Graydon Pool

Ridgewood NJ, The Village of Ridgewood, Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking certified lifeguards for seasonal employment at the Graydon Pool municipal facility. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Competitive salaries are offered, ranging from $10.30 to $15.00 per hour, based on years of experience and duties assigned.

The 2020 season will run Saturday, May 30th through Labor Day, September 7th. Pre-season staff orientation and training will be mandatory, May 26 through 29, 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Interested candidates should submit the Seasonal Waterfront Application and Background Investigation Waiver, both of which can be found on the Graydon Pool homepage at www.ridgewoodnj.net/graydon. Accompanying resumes are encouraged to: The Department of Parks and Recreation, 259 N. Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

Those interested, but not certified, may register with Ridgewood Parks and Recreation for the Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Training for sand-bottomed pools. These classes will be held June 29 through July 31, and will include re-certification, bridging, and new certifications. Employment with Graydon Pool may be offered once the certifications are received.

  2. Don’t forget to post the right salary per hour amount, Not like last time. As of 2020 there is a new rate of pay from minimum-wage don’t forget it.

  3. We feel that the Parks Dept rec ration should install cameras at that site. God for bid there’s another lawsuit or a problem it’s on video tape.

  4. Well… the transient NYC population killed Graydon…. no longer “cool enough” for the kiddies to work there.
