Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police are working in cooperation with the Fair Lawn Police Department, P.O. Sam Evans determined that an unlocked vehicle had been entered while parked in a resident’s driveway on the 500 block of Prospect Street. Removed from the unlocked vehicle was a Gucci purse containing a wallet, just under $500 in cash, credit cards and personal identification, a cell phone, sunglasses, gaming cartridges, as well as shoes and clothing which had been left in the vehicle.
Fair Lawn Police arrested a 20-year-old Paterson man in their jurisdiction who was found to be in possession of stolen property, including some of the items from the Glen Rock resident’s vehicle. The actor admitted to officers that he rode his bicycle from Paterson to Ridgewood along Maple Avenue and was heading back to Paterson along Prospect Street to Fair Lawn Avenue when he was stopped by police.
It is believed that additional vehicles may have been entered, however, no other reports have been filed, nor did a canvas of the area by officers detect any evidence of additional vehicles having been entered. P.O. Evans was however able to locate some of the victim’s property which had been dumped in a trash can at the bus stop located at Prospect Street and Cornwall Road.
Residents with home video surveillance systems are asked to contact Glen Rock Detectives if they captured any images of a male subject attempting to enter vehicles along Maple Avenue or Prospect Street. Detectives may be contacted at (201) 670-3947 or 3948.
