Mahwah NJ, After Frank T. Pallotta graciously accepted President Trump’s endorsement , ” It’s an incredible honor to have received this endorsement from President Donald Trump this morning.
Kelly, Kennith, and my amazing team deserves all the credit for this great accomplishment.”
Even the rain could not put a stop to the Pallotta For Congress campaign enthusiasm .
The Pallotta For Congress team hit the campaign trail focusing on The Congressman Gottheimer efforts to defund the police.
Pallotta says , “The Congressman can pretend as much as he wants, but only ONE candidate in this race supports our police. Rep Josh Gottheimer co-sponsored the bill to DEFUND THE POLICE. I won’t stand for that.”
The George Floyd bill? Last I checked it didn’t defund the police it was about accountability and transparency… I don’t think I could vote for someone who doesn’t read the bills he comments on… using hook lines like “defund the police” stinks of desperation. Might I recommend some light reading? https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/hr7120/BILLS-116hr7120pcs.xml
If he really wanted to support the police he’d support the transparency because that is what is going to bring communities and law enforcement closer together, not drawing a hard line and saying “you’re this and I’m that”.
I come from a family of police and this guy’s a joker, same as the guy who endorsed him. Not getting my vote that’s for sure. I grew up in a time where you did something wrong you were held accountable for it, and if something wasn’t working you tried something else.
Last I checked, there were approximately 6 synonyms for the word defund in that bill. You might want to take a look at the bill again. Do you actually think a Clinton disciple would leave the world “defund” in a bill – and then claim it didn’t defund the police? And when one of the largest police unions in the country pulled their endorsement from Josh, do you think they made a mistake?
Accountability is important, but not at the expense of our police being defunded. I’m surprised being from a family of police officers that you wouldn’t see what the rank and file sees. Maybe you need to see a few more police officers suffer at the hands of people who hate them only because of the job they do before you understand. But I guess the fact that you wrote: “the guy who endorsed him”, means your comment has more to do with your hatred for the President, than your love of the police
