Motor Vehicle Stop on I-80 West in Saddle Brook Yields Drug and Weapons Arrest

Saddle Brook NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of IVELISE RODRIGUEZ-MANN (DOB: 7/13/1976; married; train operator) of 702 Holly Circle, East Stroudsburg, PA. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

On Friday, March 9, 2021, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on I-80 West in Saddle Brook, NJ. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to the scene and gave a positive indication to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed an aftermarket hidden compartment that contained two loaded handguns (one stolen out of North Carolina), one drum high-capacity gun magazine containing forty-eight 9mm rounds, hollow point bullets, and drug paraphernalia associated with the manufacture of controlled dangerous substances, containing residual drug powder, namely heroin. Following the search, the driver, IVELISE RODRIGUEZ-MANN, was placed under arrest without incident.

IVELISE RODRIGUEZ-MANN was charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b, a 2nd degree crime; two counts of Possession With Intent To Distribute CDS While In Possession Of A Firearm, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4.1a, a 2nd degree crime; one count of Receiving Stolen Property, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:2-7a, a 3rd degree crime; one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute Heroin, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3), a 3rd degree crime; one count of Possession Of Hollow Point Bullets, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-3f(1), a 4th degree crime; one count of Possession Of A Large Capacity Ammunition Magazine, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-9h, a 4th degree crime; and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2, a disorderly persons offense.

IVELISE RODRIGUEZ-MANN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in this investigation.
