Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, we fished this post off the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus Facebook page , Ho-Ho-Kus had a song written about it in 1949 song by the The Andrew Sisters. We found the recording on YouTube and no, Bon Jovi did not do a cover version .

Did you know that the Borough has a song in its name? The Andrew Sisters recorded the song, “Ho-Ho-Kus N.J.”, for Decca Records in Los Angeles in 1949.
“We know a town in the heart of New Jersey, where the birds sing all day long. And it gave us the inspiration, from which we wrote the following song. I remember it was September when the crocus first awoke us, in Ho-Ho-Kus NJ…”
Upon invitation, the Andrew sisters made a special appearance to sing their song at a borough sponsored block party held at the Orvil Court Town Green on June 24, 1949. A crowd of 5500 gathered to hear LaVerne, Maxene and Patty sing their song.
“Ho-Ho-Kus N.J.”, composed by Hall of Fame lyricist Allan Stillman (1982), in collaboration with Paul McGrane and bandleader Ray Block, had a number of renditions of which the Andrew Sisters version was the most well-known.
