Interested singers of all voice parts are invited to join our group for an exciting season beginning with two Open Sings, Tuesdays, September 6 and 13, 7:30PM at First Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, NJ.  Join us on the 6th as we sample music from each of our concerts in the 2022-2023 season and on the 13th as we dive into the repertoire for our first concert, the Mozart Requiem and Ave Verum Corpus. Rehearsals continue on Tuesday nights. Vaccination is required for all. Masking will be optional if the Bergen County Community Level is green or yellow (currently it is green; masking will be optional). All participants will be asked to sign our annual participation waiver. For more information on singing with us and the audition process, singers should email info@arsmusica.org.

McCormick has remarked on the upcoming season titled Grow. “For centuries, choral music has been at the center of building communities across the world. Today, that is truer than ever before. We at Ars Musica are looking to not only move forward and recover from the experience of the last two years, but to grow and expand beyond what we once thought was possible. This season, we will feature some of the greatest choral works that music has to offer. From the Mozart Requiem and Handel Messiah, to works by Margaret Bonds and Johannes Brahms, there is sure to be something for every singer and audience member to connect with this season. We hope that you will join us on our journey in making our Ars Musica community larger than ever before.”

The concert season will begin on October 22, with a performance of Mozart Requiem. On December 17, AMC will present its signature holiday concert, which will bring together the spectacular forces of voices, brass, organ and percussion, in an evening of seasonal music and cheer. The season will continue in 2023, with a March 18 performance of Handel Messiah. The season will conclude with a concert of Brahms and Art Songs on May 6.
