Ridgewood NJ, from the Ridgewood Water Facebook page on January 24th 2023 :Please be advised that an emergency hydrant repair this morning on Newcomb Road in Ridgewood required Ridgewood Water staff to flush a significant volume of water. The flushing caused a change in the typical directional flow of water, thereby producing discolored water in parts of the service area. Discolored water has been reported across Glen Rock and as far north as Steilen Avenue in Ridgewood.

Although the discolored water is a nuisance, it does not pose any adverse health effects. Customers should flush their cold water faucets until the discolored water diminishes, which typically occurs within 2-3 minutes.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

We wonder is the village still buying water for village hall.
This happened on Newcomb in 2021 as well.
