Ridgewood NJ, a black colored Acura SUV occupied by an pregnant woman being rushed to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood early Wednesday morning, 09/06, was involved in a collision just minutes away from the hospital on Route 17 northbound at Linwood Avenue. The collision likely triggered birth of the baby, who was transported to the hospital’s emergency room along with mom and dad by the driver of a work van that may have also been involved in the collision. Mother, child, and father were reported to all be doing fine following the harrowing mishap. Ridgewood Police officers responded to the crash scene to retrieve personal items from the crashed Acura and to investigate the crash. The Acura was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Paramus Police assisted with traffic control.

The baby that was born with a bang!
Wish the child a long and happy and healthy life ahead.
I was there when it happened.
The driver lost control on the ramp and was yelling to get people to help.
The work van came after and was not involved in the crash.
He was a good samaritan for taking them to the hospital.
Glad to hear everyone is doing fine.
Great job everyone.
