Elmwood Park NJ, Major League Baseball’s television network is set to relocate from its current home in Secaucus, N.J., to a brand-new, cutting-edge facility in Elmwood Park. The move, expected to be completed by 2028, marks a major upgrade for MLB Network, which has been a key player in baseball broadcasting since its launch in 2009.
A New Era for MLB Network
The new headquarters will be housed in a nearly 207,000-square-foot building at 25 Market Street, conveniently located just off Exit 61 of Interstate 80. This facility is being developed by Crow Holdings and is set to become a hub for MLB Network’s production studios, offices, and extensive videotape archive.
From Paper Mill to Broadcast Hub
MLB Network’s future home sits on the former site of the Marcal Paper plant, which was tragically destroyed in a fire in 2019. The redevelopment of this site into a high-tech broadcasting facility represents a fresh start, blending history with innovation.
Expanding MLB Network’s Reach
Over the past year, MLB Network has produced more than 3,000 hours of live programming and created over 400,000 pieces of digital content for Major League Baseball’s platforms. The new facility will allow the network to expand its capabilities, improve production quality, and continue delivering top-tier baseball coverage to fans worldwide.
Leadership’s Vision for the Future
“This new long-term home for MLB Network is an opportunity for us to transform our operations and deliver a future-proofed workplace that enables our team to produce exceptional content,” said Bill Morningstar, President of MLB Network.
“Partnering with Crow Holdings on this state-of-the-art facility will allow us to modernize our studios, enhance production, and support our evolving business. Moving to this new location demonstrates the importance of MLB Network to MLB, its media partners, the 30 clubs, and fans across the world—not only today but well into the future.”
What This Means for Baseball Fans
MLB Network’s move ensures that baseball enthusiasts can expect even more immersive coverage, enhanced digital content, and expanded programming in the years to come. As the network gears up for this major transition, the future of baseball broadcasting looks brighter than ever.
