Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood is calling on civic-minded residents to volunteer for several key boards and committees that help shape the future of the community. If you are passionate about sustainability, local business development, or environmental stewardship, this is your chance to get involved and make a lasting impact.

📝 Committees Seeking Volunteers

The Ridgewood Village Council is accepting applications for the following:

• Ridgewood Green Team Advisory Committee

• Central Business District Advisory Committee (CBDAC)

• Green Ridgewood Committee

Residents interested in applying must complete a Citizen Volunteer Leadership form and submit it with a cover letter and resume or biography by June 30, 2025.

Ridgewood Green Team Advisory Committee

A subcommittee of Green Ridgewood, this group is ideal for residents who are passionate about making Ridgewood a more sustainable community. Ideal candidates may have:

• LEED certification

• Experience with solar energy or recycling

• A background in sustainable practices or grant writing
  This committee also works to maintain Ridgewood’s participation in Sustainable Jersey.

Central Business District Advisory Committee (CBDAC)

This committee collaborates with local business owners, residents, and the Village Council to:

• Improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety

• Optimize parking and commercial balance

• Preserve the district’s historic charm
  Their goal is to create a vibrant and welcoming downtown destination.

Green Ridgewood Committee

This committee assists with long-term planning and environmental problem-solving, focusing on:

• Solid waste management

• Open space preservation

• Floodplain development and air/noise pollution control

• Stream rehabilitation, soil protection, and wildlife conservation
