Paramus Crash on Route 17 Ramp Sends Victims to Hospital, Traffic Temporarily Shut Down

PARAMUS, NJ — A single-vehicle crash on the entrance ramp from East Midland Avenue to Route 17 northbound caused delays and emergency response on Tuesday afternoon, September 2.

According to authorities, Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, The Valley Hospital staff, and Bergen County EMS all rushed to the scene to assist the victims. Multiple people were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Police temporarily closed the entrance ramp to Route 17 northbound while a tow truck cleared the wrecked vehicle, leading to short-term traffic disruptions in the area.

The Paramus Police Department and IAEP Local 201 EMTs confirmed their coordinated response to ensure public safety during the incident.
