Paramus Fire Department Welcomes New Volunteer Firefighters to the Line

Paramus NJ, The Paramus Fire Department has officially grown its family, swearing in a dedicated new group of volunteer firefighters ready to protect and serve the Paramus community.
On June 23, 2026, the department held a formal ceremony to welcome seven outstanding local individuals who have stepped forward to commit themselves to public safety, courage, and community dedication.

Each of these new recruits brings a unique background and personal motivation to the department. Some are proudly continuing a long-standing family legacy, others are returning home to plant deeper roots, and many are simply driven by a powerful passion to give back. What unites them all is an unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of their neighbors.
An Active Year of Service and Community Protection
The arrival of these new members comes during a highly active year for local emergency responders. So far in 2026 alone, the Paramus Fire Department has already responded to 764 calls for service, including managing 8 structure fires.
Beyond responding to active emergencies, the department’s volunteer forces dedicate countless hours to rigorous weekly training sessions, equipment maintenance, and vital community outreach initiatives. These seven new firefighters officially step into that vital mission today.
