Ridgewood NJ, Independence Day week is officially underway in Bergen County! Festivities kicked off with a highly successful “Mulch Monday,” thanks to a dedicated group of local volunteers and the Parks Division who worked hard to beautify downtown Ridgewood ahead of the crowds. As chairs begin to line the Central Business District, anticipation is building for a historic milestone.

The Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration, Inc. invites the entire community to join the 116th Annual Celebration and Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
This year’s theme is monumental: “USA 250 – America’s Birthday Bash.”
In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Ridgewood is turning its streets into a star-spangled birthday celebration 250 years in the making. Parade entries are pulling out all the stops, decking out floats in patriotic fanfare to spotlight what makes our community unique. This once-in-a-generation milestone offers a perfect moment to reflect on our nation’s history, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look forward to the future.
