Teaneck NJ, Public golf in Bergen County just got a massive upgrade. Local officials officially cut the ribbon on the highly anticipated, state-of-the-art Overpeck Golf Course Clubhouse in Teaneck, New Jersey.

The sprawling $6 million facility delivers on a major promise to local sports enthusiasts: offering an elite, country-club-level experience without the exclusive, wallet-draining membership fees.

State-of-the-Art Upgrades and Year-Round Play

The brand-new 2,774-square-foot clubhouse isn’t just a place to check in before your tee time—it’s built to be a premier community hub. Designed to elevate the entire player experience, the facility boasts an impressive array of modern amenities:

  • Year-Round Indoor Golf Simulators: Rain, snow, or shine, golfers can practice their swing or play world-class virtual courses year-round on two state-of-the-art indoor simulators.

  • Massive Outdoor Deck: A scenic 1,197-square-foot outdoor deck overlooks the pristine greens, offering the perfect spot to relax and recap your round.

  • Modern Amenities: A spacious main lobby, integrated food service areas, updated public restrooms, and administrative office space.

The project also looks toward the future of sustainable sports operations with a matching 2,774-square-foot golf cart storage facility. This eco-friendly addition features electric charging stations built to power up to 60 carts simultaneously, leaning heavily into the county’s green initiatives.

A Smart Investment Powered by the Community

“When we broke ground on this project last year, we said we wanted to give golfers a premium experience at a public course price,” said Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco during the grand opening celebration. “Today, we’re proud to deliver on that promise.”

Public golf is a massive driver for the region. Last year alone, players logged over 335,000 rounds of golf across Bergen County’s six public courses. The revenue generated from these courses feeds directly back into the Parks Department, funding ongoing public space improvements without overburdening local taxpayers.

According to Commissioner Steven Tanelli, liaison to the Parks Department, the Overpeck upgrade is a vital component of the county’s broader Parks Master Plan—a long-term initiative dedicated to modernizing recreational infrastructure, preserving green open spaces, and boosting local accessibility.

The project was completed in tandem with top-tier partners including RSV Architects, Whitman, Epic Management, and Strategic Planning services.

Whether you’re looking to shave strokes off your handicap in the middle of winter or enjoy a post-round drink on the deck, the new Overpeck Clubhouse is officially open and ready for tee time.
