
Two Indicted in Fort Lee Route 4 Gas Station Armed Robbery; Authorities Search for Remaining Suspects

FORT LEE, NJ — Two Bronx men have been indicted and extradited to New Jersey following a months-long investigation into an early-morning armed robbery at a Route 4 gas station in Fort Lee, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
While two suspects are currently in custody at the Bergen County Jail, law enforcement officials warn that additional masked individuals involved in the violent heist remain at large.
Early Morning Attack on Route 4
The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 a.m. on January 10, 2025, when Fort Lee police officers responded to an emergency call reporting an armed robbery in progress at a local gas station along Route 4.
According to police reports:

A victim was approached by a masked individual wielding a handgun.

The suspect demanded cash and personal jewelry before physically assaulting the victim.

The gunman then fled the scene in a waiting gray Acura TLX.
Investigators later determined that multiple masked accomplices were waiting inside the getaway vehicle during the robbery.
Grand Jury Unseals Five-Count Indictment
Following an intensive multi-agency investigation, a Bergen County Grand Jury unsealed a five-count indictment charging two suspects:

Juan A. Almonte (26) of the Bronx, NY

Julian Guzman (22) of the Bronx, NY
Both men face severe charges, including first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a handgun. Almonte and Guzman were subsequently arrested and extradited from New York to face prosecution in New Jersey.

The investigation into the armed robbery remains active and ongoing. Local and county law enforcement are asking anyone with information regarding the getaway vehicle or the additional masked suspects to step forward.
